Waldo Custom Blend is a premium soil and crop recipe composed of all the major and minor elements, traces and nutritional materials to fully support soil microbes and plants as commonly needed to balance mid Maine soils. Fully compatible with certified organic crop production.

This recipe was conceived as a response to the needs of gardeners and professional growers who would like a single dry product to address the typical shortages of our local soils. Waldo Custom Blend takes into consideration the combined soil and crop test results of over 25 year’s farming and consulting experience in the Waldo County and statewide region of Maine.
Sourcing, proportioning and blending separate amendments, has been a challenge to many growers over the years, especially for custom blending of ingredients suitable for certified organic production. Simply put: this product is for those gardeners, professional produce growers and horticulturists, landscapers and greenhouse people who want to experience above average performance and nutritional improvements in their crops.

Waldo Custom Blend includes the following soil amendments as well as other organically certifiable ingredients in proprietary ratios: Soft rock phosphate .gypsum .aragonite .sul-po-mag .sulfate of potash .dolomite .zinc sulfate .copper sulfate .manganese sulfate .calcium borate .soluble dry fish hydrolysates .soluble seaweed powders .soluble and insoluble humic and fulvic acids & .natural non-GMO plant extracts.*

Due to the concentration and expense of the ingredients, this product is most affordably allied with compost, aged manure or side dressed and worked into the soil around root zones during the growing season. It may be added to potting soils especially in the repotting phase. Used for mineral enrichment of finished composts, layered in manure spreaders or broadcast in a drop type garden or field spreader. Apply at a minimum rate of one 50# bag per 500 foot row as side dress, or 50#-100# per cubic yard of compost or aged manure. Apply 500-2000# / acre, one or more times during the growing season, depending on crop value and budget. Apply liberally around ailing or weak crops especially heavy feeders, water in and mulch over. Will not burn plants. Good for all leafy and fruiting vegetables, fruit trees, berries, ornamentals, and houseplants.

Great plant performance is not an accident. It is the result of working with the laws of nature. Soil and Crop nutrition is the foundation of human and animal health.
