Our Vision...

The Principles of ecological design discovered in the language of nature, are changing how we live. These priciples create a technological and social framework that supports humanity while restoring the Earth. By learning and applying the ecological knowledge of the natural world to restorative projects, a new generation of Earth stewards are cultivated.

Vision Statement

Our planetary vision is:

1. For the waters of the Earth to be healthy and clean and for all people to have access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation.

2. For the atmosphere to be healthy and for the climate to be stable and conducive to life on Earth.

3. For the peoples of the earth to live sustainable lifestyles.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to learn from nature, creating ecological design solutions that are effective at restoring the Earth. We work to bring people together, to share, learn and deepen our connection with nature creating a fuller understanding of our relationship to common natural resources and their profound effect on our lives. We use a whole systems approach, uniting education, design, construction and art.

The Work of the Ecovillage Institute

EVI designs sustainable infrastructure, including water and energy systems. This work encompasses engineering, CAD drafting, specification writing and construction supervision for wastewater treatment and renewable energy technologies.
